1000 S. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60605
1000 South Michigan Avenue will be an 832-foot-tall residential tower at the edge of Grant Park in Downtown Chicago, IL. Named 1000M, after its street address, the 74-story glass tower will make a dramatic statement on Chicago’s world-famous skyline.
The architect, Helmut Jahn, will transform the 32,294 square feet, currently used as a surface parking lot, into a curving, cantilevering glass tower. Air rights from 1006 S. Michigan Ave. have been acquired which allow the building’s façade to gently slope outward. Views from upper floors will feature panoramic views of Chicago’s historic skyline, Grant Park, Millennium Park and Lake Michigan.
1000M is being jointly developed by JK Equities (JKE), Time Equities (TEI), and Oak Capitals (Oak).
